നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഏറ്റവും ദൈര്ഘ്യമേറിയ ചന്ദ്രഗ്രഹണം ഈ മാസം 15ന്. ഈ ദിവസം സൂര്യനും ഭൂമിയും ചന്ദ്രനും ഒരു നേര്രേഖയിലെത്തുന്നതോടെ ഭൂമിയുടെ നിഴല് ചന്ദ്രനെ പരിപൂര്ണമായും മറയ്ക്കും. ഇന്ത്യയിലുടനീളം ഇതു കാണാനാവു.
ഭൂമിയുടെ ഇരുണ്ട ഭാഗത്തേക്കു ചന്ദ്രന് നീങ്ങുന്നതോടെ അതൊരു ചെമ്പന് ചുവപ്പുനിറത്തിലേക്കു മാറും. രാത്രി 11.53ഓടെയാണ് ഇതാരംഭിക്കുക. അടുത്ത ദിവസം പുലര്ച്ചെ 3.30ഓടെ ഗ്രഹണം അവസാനിക്കും. ഇന്ത്യയെ കൂടാതെ പശ്ചിമേഷ്യ, തെക്കന് യൂറോപ്പ്, വടക്കന് ആഫ്രിക്കന് പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ഈ അസുലഭ കാഴ്ച ലഭ്യമാവും.

തിരുവനന്തപുരം : കേന്ദ്രീയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലെ വിദ്യാര്ഥികള്ക്കായി സോണല് തലത്തില് ജ്യോതിശാസ്ത്ര ക്വിസ് മത്സരം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.ആസ്ട്രോ കേരളയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ശ്രീ വൈശാഖന് തമ്പിയും തിരുവനന്തപുരം എം ജി കോളേജിലെ രസതന്ത്ര വിഭാഗം പ്രൊഫസര് ഡോ. സുദര്ശന കുമാറും ആണ് ക്വിസ് നയിച്ചത്.അഞ്ചു ടീമുകളിലായി 20 കുട്ടികള് പങ്കെടുത്ത മത്സരത്തില് അടൂര് കെ.വി സെക്കന്റ് ഷിഫ്റ്റ് ടീം ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടി.തിരുവനന്തപുരം പാങ്ങോട് കേന്ദ്രീയ വിദ്യാലയത്തില് വച്ചാണ് പരിപാടി നടന്നത്.വിവിധ കേന്ദ്രീയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളില് നിന്നുള്ള അധ്യാപകരും വിദ്യാര്ഥികളും സന്നിഹിതരായി.
